The city of Diapaga received on Sunday August 20, 2023, a supply by air, to the delight of the populations who were beginning to lack the essentials, noted the AIB.
After a month of waiting, the populations of Diapaga have found their smiles again thanks to the arrival of supplies on August 20, 2023.
Thus, with this landing, the basic necessities which had disappeared from the shelves of the shops, resurface.
It must be said that before this lifeline, prices jumped wildly and poor households were helpless.
The 50kg bag of rice had gone from 18,000 to 37,500 FCFA, the kg of sugar from 800 to 2000, the liter of oil from 850 to 2000, the liter of gasoline from 850 to 3000, the bag of salt from 25kg from 3,500 to 12,500 FCFA, the maggie cube from 25 to 75 and beer at 1,500 FCFA, the bottle.
A situation that was untenable for the populations whose wishes were granted thanks to two landings in Diapaga.
The same day from 3 p.m., supply stores were stormed by many customers who came out to stock up.
