Ouagadougou: The prefect, President of the special municipal delegation of Zorgho, Valentin Badolo chaired on Thursday January 11, 2024, the first extraordinary session of the year 2024 in the deliberations room of the town hall of Zorgho. The agenda was amplified by the addition of a communication from the provincial environment directorate on the environmental risks linked to the extraction of aggregates in the municipality.The session began with the examination of the technical and financial report of the leased center of the National Water and Sanitation Office (ONEA) for the year 2022. This presentation offered an overview of the contract between the ONEA and the municipality of Zorgho and highlighted the technical and financial achievements of the past year, while addressing the challenges and prospects of the future.The following presentation made by the Lieutenant of Water and Forests, Mamadou Maïga focused on the environmental risks associated with the extraction of aggregates in the commune. Thi s presentation highlighted the potential dangers of environmental degradation and prompted the special delegation to consider measures to mitigate these risks and preserve the local ecosystem.The third presentation focused on the situation of collections of socio-economic units in the town of Zorgho as of November 30, 2023. It was made by the town hall manager, Pascal Kaboré and allowed participants to know the tenants who are owed the town hall to consider payment incentives.The deliberations then focused on important authorizations, notably the development of the 2024-2026 three-year action plan, the creation of an ad hoc commission for the three-year development plan, and the signing of the 'Zorgh' decentralized cooperation agreement.
