The Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security, Colonel Boukaré ZOUNGRANA received, this Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in Ouagadougou, the patriotic contribution of His Majesty the Moogho Naaba Baongo to the war effort against terrorism in Burkina Faso.
Ouidi Naaba Kiiba, in his capacity as dean of the royal court of Ouagadougou, explained that the donation initiative comes in response to the call of the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ.
This donation is made up of a financial envelope in the amount of seven (07) million CFA francs, 200 bags of rice of 25 kg, 22 bags of rice of 50 kg, 30 bags of corn of 50 kg, 20 bags of millet of 50 Kg, 20 bags of sorghum of 50 Kg and 10 cartons of sugar.
This contribution, according to Ouidi Naaba Kiiba, is the fruit of the contribution of all the daughters and sons of the kingdom of Ouagadougou, as part of their participation in the efforts made by the authorities to stem the security crisis in our country.
On behalf of His Majesty, he also explained that this donation reflects the commitment of the entire kingdom of Ouagadougou to the development of the people of Burkina Faso.
"We want, by this gesture, to convey to you our unwavering feeling for the Nation and our constant support for all struggles for justice and social peace", he said, wishing for a return of peace, tranquility and a positive reaction from all the daughters and sons of the country to the call of the Head of State.
Minister Boukaré ZOUNGRANA welcomed this patriotic contribution from Moogho Naaba which, according to him, is a sign that terrorism is a major concern of His Majesty and his entire community.
“It is a gift that we receive with great honor and humility. This gesture is proof that the fight against terrorism is a major concern and an invitation to the entire population to follow suit”.
As a reminder, this contribution follows a donation from His Majesty, in July 2022, for the benefit of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to which have been added many other actions of imploration and intercession with the ghosts and ancestors in favor peace and lasting stability in Burkina Faso.
