Gourma: The governor of the Eastern region, Ram Joseph Kafando, accompanied by the constituted bodies and the military hierarchy, laid a wreath of flowers at the memorial to the heroes of Gulmu in memory of the personnel of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), who fell during the year 2023-2024.According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Kafando expressed his respect for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation, emphasizing the importance of unity within the National Armed Forces. He acknowledged the dedication of the FDS and VDP in combating terrorism and organized crime.The governor highlighted the cohesion among the forces and expressed confidence in their eventual victory against the threats faced by the region. He called on the community to support the security forces and contribute to the war effort, stressing the need for collective action to ensure peace and stability in Burkina Faso.
