Great Wall Prize: Two journalists from Les Éditions Sidwaya honored

Mahamadi Sebogo and Assetou Sawadogo, from Les Éditions Sidwaya, won on Saturday, the first prize in written press and the special gender prize of the 3rd edition of the "Great Green Wall Prize in journalism for the promotion of sustainable land management.

It is thanks to his article entitled “Assisted natural regeneration: an ancestral practice of sustainable land management” published in the columns of Sidwaya on October 28, 2022 that Mr. Sebogo was distinguished.

As for Afsétou Sawadogo, she owes her prize to her article entitled "Sustainable preservation of arable land: a solution through agroecology", published on October 12, 2022 in Sidwaya.

In the television category, the prize went to Amandine Lalsaga of RTB-Télé. Alfred Kangambèga of Radio Vénégré de Ziniaré is the winner in the radio category.

The winners in the written and online press, television and radio categories each received a trophy, a certificate, and an envelope of 500,000 CFA francs.

The award ceremony took place this Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Ouagadougou, during the official celebration ceremony of the 5th edition of National Tree Day (JNA).
