Handball – African Cup Winners’ Cup: Esperance Sportive de Tunis leave for Algeria

Esperance Sportive de Tunis will fly to Algeria on Tuesday afternoon to take part in the 40th edition of the African Cup Winners' Cup in Oran from April 18 to 28. The tournament features 12 teams in four groups. The Tunisians have been drawn in Group D alongside Zamalek of Egypt and BMC of Congo. At the end of the preliminary round, the top two clubs in each group will qualify for the main round, which will be divided into two groups, MI and MII. The results achieved by the teams in the preliminary round will be taken into account in the main round. The top two clubs in each group qualify for the semi-finals. Esperance de Tunis have won the competition three times: 2003, 2014 and 2015.
