Ouagadougou: The rotating rise of the national colors of the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso took place on Wednesday January 10, 2024 in the town hall of district No. 6. The ceremony was chaired by the President of the special delegation of the commune, Laure nt Kontogom .The commune of Bobo-Dioulasso has returned to its traditional rise of national colors.Initiated in 2023, this rise of national colors fell this time rotating to District No. 6 of the commune.Staff from the different districts met early in the morning of Wednesday January 10, 2024 for this patriotic act.According to the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, Laurent Kontogom , this ceremony reaffirms the unwavering attachment to the homeland and the commitment to defend it.For this first display of colors of the year, he took the opportunity to present his best wishes to all his municipal service employees.' We hope that in 2024, our respective administrations will experience active mobilization for the benefit of the populations, with the hope of an improvement in the mobilization of resources , ' he said.Laurent Kontogom , also called for support for the Defense and Security Forces (VDP) engaged on the front line of the fight against terrorism.The PDS of district no . 6, Salamata Compaoré, feels her encouragement to all the fighting forces for all the efforts and sacrifices they make daily .'It is by uniting our efforts that we will win this war,' she said.Salamata Compaoré also listed some difficulties experienced in his district, namely the defective state of the roads in certain sectors and attached villages and the lack of human resources.As a reminder, the district is located in the central - west of the commune, over an area of 240,142 km 2 and an estimated population of 89,836 inhabitants according to figures from the last census.It has six sectors and seven attached villages.Source: Burkina Information Agency
