Dano: the High Commissioner of the Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo née Sermé, held an exchange meeting with the beneficiary populations on the rehabilitation work of RN 12/phase 1, on Tuesday February 20, 2024 in Dano.This meeting was attended by the head of the national road (RN) 12 rehabilitation project, Taïbou Traoré. This is phase 1 of the rehabilitation of the RN 12 PS-Dano-Diébougou, 93 kilometers long. Also present were the managers of the EKS/SOBMTI group of companies responsible for the work and the team from the monitoring/control office.The beneficiaries and residents of the RN 12 inside the town of Dano took part in the discussion meeting.The meeting allowed the project manager, Taïbou Traoré, to provide accurate information on the progress of the work in progress. According to him, the execution rate is 10.77%.Its communication focused mainly on the work to be carried out crossing the urban area of the town of Dano. Solar lighting is planned in places along the track, gutters and crossi ng culverts as well as tree plantings to create shade, explained Mr. Traoré. The project manager specified that with regard to the roadway crossing urban areas, the option chosen is two lanes for Dano with a widening of twelve (12) meters.Complaints for the construction of two lanes are not possible at the current stage, added Mr. Traoré. He noted that the rehabilitation of the RN12 phase 1 is entirely financed by the national budget through the special road fund to the tune of more than twelve billion CFA francs. The project owner is the Ministry of Infrastructure and Accessibility, he added.All participants invited the EKS/SOBMTI business group to do everything possible to offer them good quality work. They asked several questions for clarification and expressed further complaints, especially for related work. Residents have expressed concerns about the progress of the work in the city. Some also made contributions for the success of the work.The prefect, president of the special municipal delegation of Dano, Denis Zanré, welcomed the mobilization of the populations and their active participation in the exchanges. He asked to facilitate the execution of work when crossing urban areas.The High Commissioner of Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé, stressed that the entire population is waiting for the rehabilitation of the RN12. This road will facilitate the mobility of people and the transport of goods, she added.
