Italy to hire 2,000 Tunisian vocational training graduates in construction, public works (ambassador) [Upd 1]

Italian ambassador to Tunisia Alessandro Prunas said his country will hire 2,000 Tunisians among vocational training graduates in construction and public works in the period spanning 2024 and 2026. This will be under the framework agreement on the professional integration of young Tunisians in the construction sector in Italy, the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment Ministry said. The announcement was made by the Italian diplomat as he attended a ceremony to hand over degrees to 38 young people who received training in Italian language and civilisation and in security at the sector-based centre of training in construction and related sectors in Tunis. Prunas said the successful delivery of this pilot project will further ease the recruitment of Tunisian workforce in several high-value-added sectors seen as vectors of employment. The framework agreement on the professional integration of young Tunisians in the building and construction sector in Italy was signed on October 31, 2023, by the Nati onal Agency for Employment and Self-employment (French: ANETI), the Tunisian Agency for Vocational Training (French: ATFP) and the Italian Association of Construction Contractors (ANCE).
