Minister of Defence, Imed Memmiche, on Wednesday, inaugurated the "Al Mohdeth" palm tree plantation project in the delegation of El Faouar, Kebili governorate.
Quoted in a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the minister stressed that this project, the studies for which began in 2020, aims to develop the border and Saharan regions and provide the necessary social services.
In this context, he stated that the military institution will mobilise all possible means to complete this project.
With a total area of 1040 hectares, the "Al Mohdeth" project is the result of Tunisian-Italian financing. It is one of the military institution's development projects in the Saharan regions.
