Ouargaye, Students from different post-primary and secondary establishments in Ouargaye marched on Friday October 27, 2023 to demand the return of the authorities and their teachers for the resumption of classes.
Students from high schools and colleges in the city of Ouargaye went out on Friday October 27, 2023. They say they support the Transition, the FDS and the VDP for their commitment to security. Then, they say they are still waiting for their teachers for the start of the school year.
After regrouping on the grounds of the Ouargaye provincial high school, these students walked to the gendarmerie via the Central Police Station, the royal court and the High Commission.
At each point cited, they stopped to deliver their message.
At the last rallying point, namely the gendarmerie, these students were received by Chief Warrant Officer Mohamed Sanfo, deputy commander of the Ouargaye national gendarmerie brigade. At this level, a reading followed by delivery of a message marked the end of this walk.
Let us remember that on September 16, 2023, at the call of youth, the population of Ouargaye left in large numbers for the same reason.
