Kaya: The Minister in charge of Culture, Pingdwende Gilbert Ouedraogo, expressed his observations on the remarkable transformation and determination of young people during a visit to a patriotic immersion site in the Koulse Region. The visit took place at the private Sainte Therese d'Avila College in Kaya.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Ouedraogo noted the significant change in the young participants, stating, "We saw very determined young people, totally transformed." He emphasized the rapid development of these individuals into citizens who align with the expectations of the Head of State. Despite the training's success, the minister acknowledged that truly adopting the values and behaviors taught remains a challenging and critical task ahead.
The minister shared that the young participants have expressed their commitment to patriotism and impacting their environment and society positively, with a focus on the homeland and its defense. Furthermore, students who have passed the Brevet d'etude du premier cycle (BEPC) will also have the chance to engage in this transformative experience.
Minister Ouedraogo commended the supervisors for their effective and pedagogical approach, which led to what he described as "totally satisfactory" results. He encouraged the patriots to become societal influencers and educators, contributing to the vision of a new Burkina Faso and a determined and rhythmic march towards peace.
Participant Yasmine Rosalie Bamogo shared her personal experience, highlighting the sense of belonging and the values of tolerance, love, and solidarity she gained. Another participant, Ismael Parfait Doye, emphasized that these teachings would empower them to contribute to societal progress in Faso.
