Mouhoun: The new commander of the 16th fire and rescue company of the National Fire Brigade (BNSP) of D©dougou, Captain Kini D. Romuald, has pledged to manage the brigade in a rigorous and transparent manner, essential for the service's proper functioning.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the installation ceremony of Captain Kini D. Romuald took place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in D©dougou and was chaired by the commander of the National Fire Brigade of Burkina, Colonel Daba Naon. Captain Kini is the first commander of this newly established company based in D©dougou.
Captain Kini expressed gratitude to his superiors for their trust and committed to focusing on key areas of governance, including maintaining discipline for team efficiency and harmony, and enhancing training and operational readiness to tackle growing intervention challenges. He emphasized rigorous and transparent management as crucial for the company's effective functioning, alongside developing facilities to improve working conditions and team responsiveness.
He further highlighted the importance of good operations management and a proactive approach to risk prevention and forecasting, aiming to anticipate and minimize intervention sector risks. The BNSP commander is determined to enhance security and emergency response management, contributing to the well-being of Boucle du Mouhoun's citizens.
The presence of local authorities at the ceremony underscored the firefighters' mission's importance in the region. Colonel Daba Naon commended Captain Kini's commitment and assured support for implementing his projects, stressing that public safety largely depends on the preparation and responsiveness of rescue teams.
The 16th Fire and Rescue Company of the BNSP was established by decree in 2023, with operations commencing in January 2024. The company was officially inaugurated by the Minister of State, Minister in charge of Territorial Administration, on Friday, May 9, 2025.
