National days of patriotic commitment: National colors magnified in Bobo-Dioulasso

The governor of the Hauts-Bassins region, Mariama Konaté, launched the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) in the Hauts-Bassins region, Tuesday March 26, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. It is through a rise in national colors that the start of the first edition of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation (JEPPC) was launched in the Hauts-Bassins region. All the bodies of the Hauts-Bassins region marked their patriotic commitment through a strong mobilization at the Mixed High School of Accart-city of Bobo-Dioulasso where Faso Danfani and Kôkô-dunda outfits were in the spotlight. These days are held on March 26 and October 2 each year for two weeks. According to the governor of the Hauts-Bassins region, Mariama Konaté, the Government established these Days with a view to consolidating the foundations of the Burkinabè Nation, strengthening social cohesion and living together. For her, the choice of dates refers to the political commitment of the nation 's hero, President Thomas Sankara. 'This period reminds us of many achievements in terms of examples of patriotic commitment,' she said. As an illustration, she cited the rail battle, the promotion of consumption of local products, the emancipation of women, works of common interest, mana-mana operations and the popular investment effort (PPE 86). According to Mariama Konaté, the institution of days of patriotic commitment takes place in a worrying security and humanitarian context, characterized by terrorist attacks which are mourning our populations. The first person in charge of the Hauts-Bassins region therefore invited the population to take simple actions such as planting a tree for each happy event, contributing to the peace effort, getting involved as VDP, conscientiously carrying out his tasks as a public official, protect and respect public property, pay taxes, respect the Highway Code and consume local dishes and products. For the Minister of Urban Planning, Land Affairs and Housing, Mikaïlou Sidibé, these days must remind everyone that we only have one country. 'During these days, everyone must revive the patriotic fiber within themselves and develop all individual actions that go in the direction of promoting the country,' underlined the minister.
