Patriotic Commitment Day: The commune of Léo plays its part

Léo's special delegation, in collaboration with civil society organizations, organized on Saturday April 13, 2024 in the said locality a cleaning session of the town hall and prefecture services as well as cleaning of the city gutters. This cleaning and draining session of the gutters, which took place on Saturday April 13, 2024, is part of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation desired by the Head of State. Out massively, the population of the commune of Léo, the majority women and young people, responded to the call of the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the urban commune of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga, on the occasion of this sanitation day of the city of tubes. Equipped with cleaning accessories and tricycles, the actors cleared the town hall and the prefecture of waste and other bulky garbage. They then proceeded to clean out certain gutters in the city. In the opinion of Mr. Koalaga, this activity aims to make the living and working environment clean. He then welc omed the strong mobilization of the women of Léo's green brigade who understood that they have a role to play in the process of endogenous development of their locality. Tribute was paid to them by the first magistrate of the commune of Léo. And to urge them to continue in this dynamic for the prosperity of the city. He reminded that the essential role of gutters is to allow rainwater to run off. These structures are not dumping grounds for waste and other solid waste, he suggested. To do this, he asks everyone to behave as an eco-citizen and to take good care of these gutters. He also invites local residents to build, if necessary, footbridges made of permanent materials over the gutters.
