Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani met on Friday evening with Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zeitouni, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, in the presence of the Minister of Trade and Export Development, Kalthoum Ben Rejab Guezzah, and the Algerian ambassador to Tunisia, Azzouz Baalal.
The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the Joint Trade Committee meeting in Tunis on Friday.
According to a statement from the Prime Ministry, Hachani praised the fruitful and excellent cooperation relations between Tunisia and Algeria, based on "bonds of brotherhood, good neighbourliness and the constant desire to establish a strategic and solid partnership in the interest of the two peoples".
The Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion reviewed the main results of the Joint Trade Committee meeting and its main recommendations. These include, in particular, the need to overcome the difficulties encountered in developing trade between the two countries, as this committee will be a prelude to the meeting of the Tunisian-Algerian High Joint Commission scheduled for early October in Algeria, according to the statement.
