Bobo-Dioulasso: The National Culture Week (SNC) and the Festival sur le Niger foundation signed a partnership agreement on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. The objective is to collaborate for the cultural and artistic development of Burkina Faso and Mali, through an exchange of artistic and cultural products and services. The Fondation festival is a cultural event held in Ségou, Mali. After several months of exchanges and discussions, the National Culture Week (SNC) and this foundation reached the signing of an agreement, this Thursday, May 2, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. According to the general director of the SNC, Christiane Sanon, this agreement, of indefinite duration, establishes principles of collaboration around the promotion of artists from both parties. It aims to promote the programming of SNC winners on the artistic platforms of the Festival sur le Niger and the programming of winning artists from the ecosystem of the Festival sur le Niger Foundatio n on the artistic platforms of the SNC,' he said. -she emphasized. Listening to it, this convention promotes the permanent production of the winners of the two events in the cities of Bobo-Dioulasso and Ségou, through infrastructural, material and technical support. One of the clauses of the agreement is to include the winning artists and technicians of the two structures in the capacity building programs implemented by the different structures (artistic training, technical training, administration and cultural management). . As for the representative of the Malian side, Mohamed Doumbia, member of the executive committee of the Festival sur le Niger foundation, he was delighted with the signing of this partnership with the SNC. 'We would like us to have a certain amount of sharing of experiences, especially in terms of the circulation of artists,' he suggested. For him, these exchange frameworks will help the two countries emerge from the crisis.
