Moscow: The ceremony of presentation of credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin by new foreign ambassadors has commenced at the Kremlin Palace, marking a significant diplomatic event. Representatives from 28 countries, including those considered adversarial, such as Canada and Japan, were present.According to Burkina Information Agency, among the participants were the new Ambassador of Argentina, Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, and other notable diplomats such as Michel Gerebtzoff of Belgium, Jesper Vahr of Denmark, and Julian Clare of Ireland. This event also included representatives from Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Finland.The Russian head of state also received credentials from envoys of several friendly nations. These included Vinay Kumar of India, Alexander Rogozhnik of Belarus, Kubanyshbek Bokontaev of Kyrgyzstan, Rahman Mustafayev of Azerbaijan, and Gurgen Arsenyan of Armenia, highlighting Russia's ongoing diplomatic engagements with allied countries.Additionally, new a mbassadors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Israel, Kenya, Laos, Malaysia, Malta, Myanmar, Niger, and Ethiopia took part in the ceremony. The presentation of credentials is a formal step marking the beginning of the diplomatic tenure of these ambassadors in Russia, and this particular ceremony is noted as the first of its kind in 2024.
