League leaders Krasnodar's second consecutive draw, Urals Yekaterinburg's first defeat this season, as well as all Moscow clubs except Lokomotiv not taking as many points as possible, has we learned from the Russian News Agency, TASS. The Russian Agency continues to publish a weekly review of the 32nd edition of the Russian football championship.

In the central match of the day, defending tournament champions Zenit Saint Petersburg (2nd, 13) beat Ural Yeketerinburg (3rd, 13) 4-0 at home. Thus, the Urals, who finished eleventh last season, suffered their first defeat this season. In turn, Kransodar played a 0-0 draw against Fakel (14th, 4th) in Voronezh. Despite their second draw in a row, Krasnodar continues to lead the league with 14 points.

Krylia Sovetov Samara (4th, 11) beat league debutants Baltika Kaliningrad (15th, 3) 2-1 at home, while Dynamo Moscow (5th, 11) played out a 2-2 draw against at Rubin (13th, 6) in Kazan. Another Moscow club, CSKA (6th, 10), played a 1-1 away draw against Orenburg (16th, 2). In turn, its eternal Moscow competitor, Spartak (7th, 10), played a 0-0 draw at home against Akhmat Grozny (9th, 7). Lokomotiv Moscow (8th, 9) beat 1-0 away Sochi (12th, 6), while Rostov (11th, 7), who finished fourth last season, lost 0-1 to Bet (10th, 7) in Nizhny Novgorod.

Fifteen goals were scored during the day. This is eight less than the previous weekend. Of the eight games that have been played, there have been three home wins, four draws and one away win. Mateo Cassierra (Zénith) dominates the scoring charts with six goals.

Russia's top 16 clubs play each other twice, home and away, each playing 30 fixtures for a total of 240 games. At the bottom of the ranking, the last two are directly relegated to the second division. Thirteenth and fourteenth are contesting a relegation play-off against third and fourth in the second tier.

On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation (Fifa) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended Russian clubs and national teams from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
