The Director of Cabinet of the Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Mamadou DEMBELE officially installed on Wednesday the new director general of the national museum, Sabari Christian DAO in its new functions.Appointed by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday February 14, 2024, the museum curator-restorer, Sabari Christian Dao officially took office this Wednesday February 21, 2024.He replaces Rasmata SAWADOGO/MAIGA in this position who spent 6 years at the head of the house.The Director of Cabinet (Dircab) of the Ministry in charge of communication, Mamadou Dembélé congratulated the outgoing director for the work done and for the results she achieved during her time at the head of the structure.Mamadou DEMBELE subsequently congratulated the new director general by inviting him to work towards the implementation of innovative actions with a view to generating real enthusiasm among Burkinabè people to visit the national museum.Moreover, the dircab urged the new CEO to make communication a preferred working tool, to achieve the expected objectives.Sabari Christian DAO thanked the Minister of State, Ministry in charge of communication, Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO for the trust placed in him for his appointment to this position.Mr. Dao said he counted on the support of his colleagues for the success of his mission.The new director general of the national museum has several strings to his bow.He is in fact a slam artist and writer with in particular the work entitled 'Safeguarding cultural and intangible heritage in Burkina Faso' dedicated on August 9, 2021 in Ouagadougou.Source: Burkina Information Agency
