SNC 2024: Burkinabè, Malians and Nigeriens in communion around a meal

Bobo-Dioulasso: The Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, through the national organizing committee of the 21st edition of the National Culture Week (SNC), organized a dinner evening on the night of Sunday April 28, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. This dinner was intended as a tribute to the invited delegations and to all those who contributed to the holding of this edition. The Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism brought together the delegations invited to the cultural biennial around a meal on the night of Sunday April 28, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. This dinner evening was attended by members of the government, state figures, and especially ministers in charge of culture from Niger and Mali with their delegations. The Burkinabè Minister in charge of Culture, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, expressed the government's recognition to all and in particular to the delegations coming from Niger and Mali for magnifying through their presence, culture, fraternity, friendship between the three coun tries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). According to him, this communion around a meal is intended as a tribute to all those who contributed to the holding and success of the 21st SNC . 'It is also an opportunity to express recognition to all those who were involved in the holding and success of this edition,' explained Mr. Ouédraogo. He cited, among others, artists, festival-goers, ministers' collaborators, governors. For the minister in charge of culture of Niger, Abdourahamane Amadou, the participation of sister countries in the biennial is the affirmation of everything that unites the three countries through tradition, history, geography and the security context of Today. 'It is an honor for us to be among you on the occasion of this SNC,' he said. And to indicate that it is an opportunity to show the world that the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) is a reality. This cultural week, in the eyes of Abdourahamane Amadou, shows that culture unites people. The Malian minister in charge of culture, A ndogoly Guindo, expressed his gratitude to the authorities and the people of Burkina Faso for Mali's invitation to participate in the 21st edition of the SNC. The two countries, he said, share a cultural heritage. A cultural heritage which, according to Mr. Guindo, is the greatest wealth of this space. Andogoly Guindo also welcomed the predecessors who had the idea of creating this cultural event. Culture has an important role to play in this turning point in the history of the people of the AES, explained Mr. Guidon, where the people are in the process of rewriting their true history. 'Culture should constitute the foundation on which the alliance between the three States must be built,' he said.
