The governor of the South-West Boureima Savadogo, visited on Thursday, April 18, 2024, certain artists and qualified athletes from the region at the 21st edition of the National Culture Week (SNC 2024) with a view to encourage. The 21st edition of National Culture Week (SNC 2024) is fast approaching. In order to encourage qualified artists and athletes in this edition, the governor of the South-West region Boureima Savadogo, attended in turn the training session of the wrestlers, the rehearsal session of the 'Africrate' orchestra » and at the archers' training session. At each stage, he said he came to provide encouragement and support to the artists and athletes. For him, it was important to come and find out about their state of mind. Boureima Savadogo, gave them advice. Above all, he encouraged them to redouble their efforts in order to be able to glean the maximum prizes at the SNC 2024. 'We are in Gaoua, but through its ambassadors, it is all the other competitors in the region that we want to encourag e' , he continued, while hoping that they would continue their efforts in order to provide an honorable performance to the SNC. Furthermore, the governor said he was counting on traditional sports, including traditional wrestling and archery, to win many prizes. Because, according to him, these are disciplines which usually bring laurels to the region. The artists and athletes visited thanked their governor for his words of encouragement and promised to carry the torch of the South-West region high by rising to the highest step of the Burkinabè culture biennial.
