The Hauts-Bassins Regional Council now has a cultural portal. The platform was officially launched on Tuesday, May 02, 2023, during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Posts and Electronic Telecommunications Aminata Zerbo / Sabane.
The Hauts-Bassins region now has a cultural portal that highlights the important knowledge and know-how of the cultural and tourist actors of the Hauts Bassins.
Officially launched on Tuesday May 02, 2023 in the presence of several personalities including the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, and the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Burkina Faso, Wolfram Vetter, the website also presents the cultural institutions, the different sectors of the sector, the actors who drive them, without forgetting the major cultural events in the region.
According to the 2nd vice -president of the Hauts-Bassins Regional Special Delegation, Mariama Konaté / Gnanou, “it was designed as part of the implementation of the activities of the Regional Strategy for Culture and its Economy”.
As for the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Burkina Faso, Wolfram Vetter, he declared that "this cultural portal is one of the major results of the Support Program for Creative Industries and the Governance of culture (PAIC GC), launched in 2019 with a total amount of 10 million euros”. Several other actions have been carried out, he continued, in favor of cultural decentralization.
According to the Minister of Digital Transformation, Posts and Electronic Telecommunications, Aminata Zerbo / Sabane, "the Hauts Bassins region is the first in our country to make the decentralization of culture and tourism its battle horse ".
She expressed her gratitude to the European diplomat for the support of her institution to the Department of Culture within the framework of the implementation of the PAIC GC.
