SNC Bobo 2023: “Burkina Faso remains upright and confident in the victory of Good over Evil” (Minister)

Despite the difficult security situation, "Burkina Faso remains standing (...) and our people are confident in the victory of Good over Evil", indicated Saturday the Minister in charge of Culture during the opening ceremony of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2023.

“Burkina Faso remains standing, despite this situation, and our people are confident in the victory of Good over Evil. Burkina Faso remains standing, through its determination to fight and defeat the obscurantist forces, thanks to the resolute commitment of our Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland,” Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo said on Saturday. .

The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo spoke on Saturday afternoon at the Omnisport general Sangoulé Lamizana stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso.

It was on the occasion of the official opening ceremony of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2023 chaired by the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Minister Ouédraogo declared that "Burkina Faso remains standing by its edifying culture, a culture carried by the people as a system of values and ferment of unity, diversity and creativity".

"A culture that allows us to go to the rendezvous of giving and receiving in the Global Village, by getting rid of the alienating avatars of globalization", he said.

Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo quoted former President Thomas Sankara (1983-1987) who clearly indicated that cultural domination is the most flexible, the least costly, and above all the most effective.

"Obviously, nations that know the arts, and peoples that celebrate their cultures, easily emerge from the wounds of history," he said.
