Sousse: Launch of strategic study for rehabilitation of El Kantaoui Marina tourist area

Tunis: The Ministry of Tourism has recently launched a strategic study to rehabilitate the various tourist resorts, in particular the integrated tourist resort of El Kantaoui Marina in Hammam Sousse, which components need to be reviewed and activities developed. In a statement to Agence TAP on the sidelines of a working session held on Saturday at the headquarters of the Sousse governorate to examine the mechanisms for promoting the El Kantaoui Marina tourist resort, Minister of Tourism, Mohamed El Moez Belhassine, stressed the importance of synergising the efforts of the various stakeholders to make the resort a preferred tourist destination. The minister said that a ministerial council would be held shortly to examine ways of dealing with the difficult situation facing the Société des Etudes et du Développement de Sousse Nord, which oversees the various components of the Kantaoui resort, given that the state holds 33% of the company's capital alongside a number of private investors. The Minister called o n all tourism stakeholders to commit themselves to the overall tourism quality system that the Ministry is working on.
