Another step into the red for the stock market as the Tunindex closed the week from August 7 to 11 in negative territory, losing 0.3% to 8,893 points, according to the analysis of broker "Tunisie Valeurs".
This brings the benchmark index's annual performance to +9.7%. Last week was exceptional in terms of trading activity. Focusing on Thursday's session and Amen Bank's stock, the volume traded reached a total of 118.4 million Tunisian dinars (TND), with a daily average of TND 23.7 million.
The week also saw a block transaction in SPDIT-SICAF shares worth 10.9 million Tunisian dinars.
Stock analysis
SERVICOM was the week's biggest gainer. Despite the absence of any transactions, its value rose by 23.8% to TND 0.260. It's worth noting that the company has yet to publish its consolidated financial statements for the 2022 financial year.
Amen Bank was the star performer of the week. The stock attracted considerable investor interest, especially during the session on Thursday August 10. Throughout the week, the financial arm of the Amen Group posted an impressive performance (+9% to TND 36.300), accounting for 75.8% of the market flow, equivalent to TND 89.8 MD.
SOTEMAIL was the worst performer of the week. Shares in the ceramic tile specialist fell 20% to TND 2.440 without attracting any significant trading activity. Year-to-date, the stock has underperformed by -28.2%.
Euro-Cycles was among the week's prominent losers.
The bicycle manufacturer's share price fell by 7.8% to TND 14.650, with the value of TND 681,000 exchanged during the week.
