Benchmark index Tunindex fell 5.38% to 8 458.43 points at the end of September after a 0.97% drop posted in August, the Tunis Stock Exchange monthly data published Tuesday show. Since early January, cumulative gains have shrunk to 4.30% compared with 18.12 over the same period in 2022. The trading volume in the Tunis Stock Exchange reached TND 95.9 million, down 44.7% on August. The daily trading volume in September stood at TND 4.8 million against TND 7.5 million in August and TND 8 million in 2023. Price variations of listed securities show a downward tren, with 18 up and 56 down. Tunindex 20 posts 6.47% drop in September Tunindex 20 fell 6.47% in September after recording a 1.92% drop in August, closing at 3696.94 points. However, the index rose 2.92% since the start of the year compared to a 21.95% growth during the same period in 2022.
