Uganda National Oil Company CEO to Highlight Investment Opportunities at African Energy Week

Cape Town: Proscovia Nabbanja, the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), is set to present Uganda's oil investment prospects at the upcoming African Energy Week (AEW). Nabbanja is recognized for her leadership role in driving Uganda's oil and gas sector, focusing on national participation, infrastructure development, and enhancing Uganda's position as a notable hydrocarbon exporter.According to African Press Organization, Nabbanja's participation as a distinguished speaker at AEW 2025 underscores UNOC's pivotal role in the Lake Albert Development Project. This flagship venture is anticipated to achieve first oil by the end of 2025, with TotalEnergies and CNOOC spearheading upstream activities. Uganda is set to become a net oil producer, with approximately 1.4 billion barrels of recoverable reserves.During AEW 2025, Nabbanja will highlight investment opportunities in various segments of Uganda's oil and gas sector, including upstream field development, pipeline construction, an d local content initiatives. UNOC is actively seeking partners for strategic and financial collaborations, making Nabbanja's insights crucial for investors interested in exploring one of Africa's promising frontier markets.
