VDPs and IDPs of Koulpélogo receive an envelope of two million FCFA

The Emergency Initiative Koulpélogo'' (IUK) offered on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, an envelope of two million FCFA to Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of the province.

The daughters and sons of the province of Koulpélogo awaited the call for the mobilization of resources to fight against terrorism, launched by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Gathered within the Koulpelogo Emergency Initiative (IUK), they handed over on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Tenkodogo, an envelope of two million FCFA to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), i.e. one million FCFA for each group.

The president of IUK, Raphaël Marie Salambéré, suggested that like other parts of the country, insecurity weighs on his province.

"Our parents, our mothers, our children, our villages, our farming hamlets, are today concerned by the security situation", he lamented.

This is why, insisted Mr. Salambéré, it was up to the nationals to act in solidarity not only for the survival of the populations but also for their resilience.

“Today, it is not with lightness of heart when we see localities of Koulpélogo and even entire municipalities being emptied”, he underlined.

For President Raphaël Salembéré, this donation is also a contribution to the war effort launched by the national authorities in the context of the fight against terrorism.

The governor of the Center-East region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana thanked the UIK for the gesture.

He took the opportunity to appeal to all nationals of other provinces of the country to follow in their footsteps.

According to him, it is in the union that Burkina Faso will be able to push this terrorist hydra beyond its borders.
