Ziniare: A delegation from the National Land Coordination Authority (ANCF), led by Charles Dalla, head of the studies department, visited the Oubri region's Ziniare to support the establishment of an industrial zone. This initiative aligns with the President of Faso's goal to expedite the country's industrialization.
According to Burkina Information Agency, during a meeting on June 14, 2025, Captain Ibrahim Traore, the Head of State, pledged to provide each region with an industrial zone. The ANCF, along with technical services, is responsible for addressing land-related challenges and securing the identified locations.
In Ziniare, the delegation engaged in discussions with the Governor, regional structures, and the commune's special delegation before visiting the proposed Zagbega site for the future industrial zone. Charles Dalla noted that the municipality of Ziniare had already incorporated a land reserve in its master development plan, which will aid in land mobilization.
Celestin Zoungrana, Regional Director of Urban Planning and Industry, highlighted that land is a significant hurdle for industrial development, with many units being established in residential areas due to the scarcity of suitable spaces. Securing dedicated sites is expected to enhance industrialization.
Florent Dabone, president of the Ziniare special delegation, mentioned that 160 hectares have been allocated in the master plan for the industrial zone in Zagbega, near RN3. This proximity to Ouagadougou is seen as a benefit that will lower transportation costs and attract investors.
With approximately thirty companies already operating in the region, Oubri aims to leverage this momentum, driven by the Head of State, to boost its economic appeal and advance its industrialization efforts.
