Ziro: The results of the BEPC and CAP exams for the 2025 session in the province of Ziro have been released, showing an overall success rate of 45.69% for the BEPC and 90% for the CAP.
According to Burkina Information Agency, out of a total of 1,675 candidates, 783 successfully obtained their diplomas, resulting in a 45.69% admission rate for the BEPC. This marks a slight decrease from the previous year's rate of 46.52%.
While the Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP) achieved a strong success rate of 90%, with 36 out of 40 candidates passing, the First Cycle Studies Certificate (BEPC) presented a more challenging outcome. Only 747 of the 1,635 candidates passed, reflecting a provincial rate of 45.69%.
The situation is particularly concerning in the commune of Sapouy, where the declining success rates have raised alarms.
Dramane Ilboudo, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Ziro, expressed dissatisfaction with the performance. "The results are particularly disappointing in the town of Sapouy. In the other municipalities, they remain acceptable. We will take strong action to correct this trend in the upcoming sessions."
The results have sparked a call for collective introspection and the need to implement solutions to improve the academic performance of students, especially in urban areas where success rates are notably declining.
The BEPC session involved the participation of 7 juries across 12 secondary centers throughout the province.
