Burkina: an international joke kinship festival on May 11 in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou: The 'Faso Rakiiré' Association announced Monday in Ouagadougou during a press conference, the holding of the 1st edition of the International Kinship Festival and the joke alliance (FIPAP) from May 11 to 18, to promote culture, peace and strengthen social cohesion. 'The security situation in Burkina Faso is testing peace and cohesion within communities. This difficult context of yours demands that we have a common vision, a common commitment and common actions. To this end, the Faso Rakiiré association has decided to make a constructive contribution with the aim of promoting culture, peace and strengthening social cohesion,' indicated the president of the organizing committee of the International Parenthood Festival. and the joke alliance (FIPAP), Bénoit Ilboudo. To do this, 'Faso Rakiiré' is initiating an international festival of kinship and joke alliance (FIPAP), combining both culture and sport around this national and African ancestral cultural heritage, he added. The festival will be hel d from May 11 to 18, 2024 at the Newton field in Wayalguin in Ouagadougou. During this festival, a 'Rakiir raaga' or a Shopping Street is planned, a sports competition which will bring together the different 'joke kinship' communities, performances by artists and panels. There are also plans to raise funds and blood for the benefit of the defense and security forces. According to the president of the organizing committee, 14 joking kinship communities will be in the spotlight for this 2024 edition of FIPAP. 'Faso Rakiiré' was created in November 2022.
