Burkina: The Minister of Education salutes the sacrifices made for the organization of the CEP

The Minister in charge of National Education, Joseph André Ouédraogo, praised on Tuesday the sacrifices of education actors who have made it possible to organize the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP) for the benefit of 376,275 candidates, despite insecurity in some localities

Let's go for the written tests of the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP) and the entrance examination to 6th of the 2023 session throughout the national territory.

At the composition center of the southern ''A'' school of Koupéla in the province of Kourittenga, the Minister in charge of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Joseph André Ouédraogo, proceeded at the start of the events this Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

“In your family, there was a party. Recount. This is the subject of the writing test by which the 376,275 candidates of Burkina Faso have started the composition of the examination, launched on June 06 by the Minister in charge of National Education, Literacy and for the Promotion of National Languages, Joseph André Ouédraogo.

From room to room, the Minister encouraged and provided advice to the candidates and wished them a "very good session".

For him, if the meeting of June 06 is a reality, it is thanks to the resilience of the teaching staff and all the other actors working in this field.

“It is a message of congratulations and encouragement for what everyone has done to make this exam a reality. I salute the resilience of the students, their teachers, their educational supervisors as well as the defense and security forces because it is thanks to everyone that the exam is held throughout the national territory. »

Said Minister Ouédraogo. Compared to last year's session (more than 430,000 candidates), the number of candidates for the CEP has decreased significantly this year and this is due to insecurity.

For Minister Ouédraogo, the State has put all possible means for this examination to take place this year. “In places we have moved candidates and in places also we have moved juries. This is to say that the State has put the small dishes in the big ones so that this examination is held in the best possible conditions and it is a sacrifice that must be welcomed. »

He pointed out. For the Center-East region, a total of 27,623 candidates are out to conquer the CEP, including 1,003 internally displaced candidates spread over the three provinces of the region.

For the Regional Director of preschool, primary and non-formal education in the Center-East, Bourbila Pierre Silga, all the conditions are met for the candidates to be able to compose in peace.

“We have, in areas with strong security challenges, deployed all the means to ensure that all candidates can compose. He reassured. The South School Center ''A'' has a staff of 258 candidates including 97 boys and 161 girls. And for the president of the center, Odilon Guigma, he admits that “everything is happening in very good conditions. »
