End of training for around twenty Burkinabè journalists in China

Around twenty journalists from public and private media in Burkina Faso received certificates on Tuesday in Beijing marking the end of a two-week seminar, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the China, in collaboration with the International Studies and Training Center of China International Communication Group (CICG). Ms. Feng explained that for a better understanding of China's development, a visit was organized to Hunan province, a locality located in the south of the country. Feng Yujuan noted that the press learned about the development of media technology in this current situation from Changsha National Television and Radio. The representative of the deputy director of the CICG of China, Zhu Zhongshu, for his part, assured that the media play an important role in the framework of cooperation between China and Burkina Faso. 'Thanks to the exchanges we have acquired a better knowledge of each other, which opens the way to mutual and fruitful cooperation, with respect, solidarity and equality,' he added. In his opinion, his country will further strengthen its diplomatic ties with Burkina Faso in all areas and says it is impatient to see cultural cooperation start for the happiness of both peoples. Zhu Zhongshu clarified that despite the digitalization of the world, direct dialogue remains essential because it establishes trust and friendship between Chinese and Burkinabè. 'The training seminar is over and our friends hip has just begun,' Mr. Zhu continued. The journalists' spokesperson, Sébastian Monné expressed his gratitude and that of his country to Chinese officials for organizing the training for the benefit of journalists from Burkina. For Mr. Monné, these exchanges were an opportunity to write a new page in the history between the two peoples. He also stressed that the Internet remains a means of consolidating bilateral relations, even if thousands of kilometers and mountains separate the two nations. The representative of the journalists also invited the Chinese to absorb information from Burkina on the internet for a better knowledge of the culture of Burkina. Started on April 8, 2024, the training seminar which brought together 25 journalists on China's development closed its doors this Tuesday, April 23, in the morning in Beijing. That of media officials numbering 24 ended on Thursday April 18, 2024 in the said city.
