Coming from Léraba and Comoé, representatives of the different socio-professional strata of the region expressed their support to the Head of State and presented their concerns to him. In his introductory remarks, the Head of State praised the commitment and patriotism of the populations who were able to stand as one with the FDS, the VDP and the Dozos, to fight terrorism. He invited the populations of the Cascades to remain united with the fighting forces for the fight 'because certain enemies are entrenched on the other side of the border and perhaps they are preparing to return; you must therefore give them the proper welcome.' Addressing the question of devel opment, the Head of State indicated to the active forces of the region that this problem begins first with the decolonization of mentalities to get rid of the chains of limitation which hinder Burkina Faso's march towards prosperity. One of the struggles of the Transition, according to President TRAORE, is food self-sufficiency. This question requires first diagnosing the problems that undermine agriculture in order to apply the appropriate therapy and leave subsistence agriculture. It is with this perspective that several projects were launched in 2023 by the government such as the Presidential Initiative for Agriculture and the 2023-2025 agrosilvopastoral and fisheries offensive. 'We have discovered our potential, we have understood our difficulties and we are working to remove the obstacles in order to achieve, as quickly as possible, food self-sufficiency,' maintained the Head of State. The waterfall region is an area full of enormous potential and the government intends to work, according to the Presi dent of the Transition, to exploit these assets through production and industrialization. He indicated that the State plans to breathe new life into SN-SOSUCO which has just been nationalized and whose facilities have become dilapidated. To support the construction of factories and the rehabilitation of production and processing units in arrears in Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE announced that the capital of state companies will be used for this purpose. The concerns of the driving forces during these exchanges revolved around security issues, health and educational infrastructure, roads, and the technical platform of the Banfora Regional Hospital Center. The Head of State indicated that all these concerns will be examined at the government level so that solutions are provided according to urgency and priorities in line with the aspirations of the people.
