Banfora: The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré granted, this Tuesday, an audience to the customary and religious authorities of the Cascades region. The various religious entities congratulated the Head of State for the achievements made in the fight against terrorism and reaffirmed their support for the Transition. They welcomed the concerted actions of the Defense and Security Forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland as well as the dozos which made it possible to liberate several localities in the region. They also recognized the efforts of the Transition authorities in several other sectors such as agriculture and health. However, the head of Karaborola Canton, His Majesty Maouran Tolé Sagnon, requested for the Cascades region, an improvement in the technical platform of health centers. He also thanked Captain Ibrahim Traoré for the institutionalization of the day of May 15, thus marking an official recognition of the activities of customary people. In th is fight against the terrorist hydra, the traditionalists do not intend to remain on the sidelines. The chief of Karaborola Canton assured that today, the fighters 'go into the field reassured because somewhere, we reminded them that our ancestors also fought wars to be able to free themselves from certain constraints.' The religious authorities also welcomed the dynamic engaged in the reconquest of the integrity of the territory, especially in the Cascades. 'Currently, we can go anywhere in the region thanks to the efforts made by the Head of State to liberate the country,' declared Monsignor Lucas Sanou, Bishop of the diocese of Banfora.
