FNPSL cycling race: Arouna Ilboudo (AJCK) wins the 3rd edition

Bobo-Dioulasso: The rider of the Association of Young Cyclists of Koudougou (AJCK) Arouna Ilboudo won on Sunday on the Boulevard de la Révolution in Bobo-Dioulasso, the 3rd edition of the cycling race of the National Fund for the Promotion of Sport and Leisure (FNPSL) in front of his teammate Souleymane Tall. The rider from the city of Red Cavalier Arouna Ilboudo completed the 22 laps of 5,630km (123.86km) alone in 3h27mn15sec, an average speed of 35.852km/h. He wins the yellow jersey, a trophy and the sum of 1 million FCFA, leaving his challenger with Tall with the sum of 750,000 FCFA. Arouna Ilboudo clinging to the redheads by his pursuer (Souleymane Tall) made the longest breakaway of the competition by widening a gap of 4 minutes 20 seconds, after the 19th lap of the track. This advantage allowed the AJCK runner to win the competition alone. This race concerned the ladies and it was Lamoussa Zoungrana who beat Adèle Guissou to the finish line, winning the sum of 500,000 FCFA. This 3rd edition of the F NPSL cycling race is being held on the sidelines of the 21st edition of the national culture week to promote the little Burkinabè queen. It was the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Dr Boubakar Savadogo who gave the starting signal for the race, accompanied by the sponsor, the Minister of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources, Commander Ismaël Sombié, the Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Yacouba Gouba, the chief of staff of the President of the Transition Anderson Céleste Méda and the general director of the FNPSL Karim Souabou.
