SNC2024: towards the creation of an AES wrestling championship

The Nigerien Minister in charge of sport, youth and culture Abdourahamane Amadou declared Monday in Bobo-Dioulasso that the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) would consider creating a wrestling championship in their regional space. The Nigerien minister spoke after giving the starting signal, in the wrestling arena of the Wobi stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso, of the wrestling competition, part of the festivities of the 21st edition of the National Week of Culture (SNC), 'Bobo 2024'. 'The objective is to see, within the framework of the AES, how to organize championships of this type between our countries. We did it before within the framework of ECOWAS, TOLAC (ECOWAS African wrestling tournament: editor's note). We can consider it at the AES level,' said Minister Amadou. 'This solidarity with the AES countries will allow us to raise the flags of our countries very high with regard to culture, arts, tourism and also sport,' added the Nigerien minister, head of the delegation. of his country, guest o f honor of the SNC 2024. The Burkinabè minister in charge of sports, Dr. Boubakar Savadogo, added that 'we can promote exchanges between the AES countries in this discipline to move forward.'
