Gulu youth reaping from saucepan making

While several young people disperse some jobs and wait for only white-collar ones, a group of young people in Gulu city slum, Go Down, is reaping from locally made saucepans.

These business-oriented youths tirelessly collect aluminium products, melt them and make saucepans locally known as Olang.

On a good day, they make between 40 to 50 saucepans, bagging a profit of around sh200,000.

Luckily enough for them, they have a big market from Kenya, South Sudan to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
