Judicial Professions Tournament: National Gendarmerie Triumphs in 6th Edition

Ouagadougou: The National Gendarmerie team emerged victorious in the 6th edition of the Maracana tournament for judicial professions, defeating the Water and Forests team 2-1 in a penalty shootout on Saturday, April 26. The event was organized from Friday night into Saturday, culminating in a win for the gendarmes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the promoter of the competition, Jean Claude Ramd©, highlighted that the tournament aims to foster team spirit among those in the justice system, emphasizing that justice is a collective endeavor. He stated, "Justice is not achieved alone, but by the men and women of its time: magistrates, lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, judicial police, prison security." The tournament is designed to facilitate interaction among judicial professions to enhance collaboration for quality justice.

State Comptroller General, Lassan© Compaor©, representing the sponsors of the edition, remarked on the significance of the tournament's consistent organization, noting it reflects the dedication of the organizers to maintain the spirit of sharing amidst current challenges. He described the event as a symbol of solidarity, offering a unique chance to dismantle barriers and enhance mutual understanding among various bodies to uphold justice and the rule of law.
