Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the K©n©dougou province, Bassanma Ko, inaugurated the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) in the village of Diossogo, a few kilometers from Orodara, for an amount of more than 106 million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Health and Social Promotion Center was inaugurated on the morning of Friday, April 25, 2025, with financial support from the Mining Fund for Local Development (PMDL) and the resources of the commune of Orodara. The center, costing over 106 million CFA francs, includes essential facilities such as a maternity ward, a MEG depot, an incinerator, staff quarters, kitchens, a latrine-shower, and a borehole with a human mobility pump.
Speakers at the event expressed gratitude to the FMDL and the special delegation of the urban commune of Orodara for facilitating the project. Emmanuel Konat©, President of the special delegation of Orodara, noted that the CSPS would reduce distances to health services for Diossogo residents and improve service quality. He emphasized the importance of community ownership and cooperation with healthcare staff for the center's success.
Louise Gansor©/Traor©, representing the patrons, echoed this sentiment, urging beneficiaries to maintain the facility. Bassanma Ko highlighted the critical role of local communities in the project, stating that effective operation requires active participation from the population. He assured continued state support in operational and capacity-building efforts for healthcare personnel.
The inauguration concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the facility.
