The special delegation of the municipality of Dano held its first ordinary session of 2024 under the presidency of the prefect, president of the special municipal delegation (PDS) Denis Zanré on April 3 and 4, 2024. During this ordinary session, the president of the special municipal delegation (PDS), Denis Zanré, presented the special report of the authorizing officer on the management of the year 2023. This report includes an update on the financial situation of the municipality for the year 2023, the situation of the materials transferred, the main achievements in 2023, the prospects, and the situation of execution of the deliberations taken in 2023. The total revenue situation (operating and investment) in 2023 amounts to 464,102,327 CFA francs for a forecast of 522,320,128 CFA francs, i.e. an achievement rate of 88.85%. The total expenses of the operation plus investment section amount to 274,517,860 CFA francs against a forecast of 522,320,128 CFA francs, i.e. an achievement rate of 52.55%, indicate d the PDS. For the resources transferred to the field of primary education in 2023, there is a balance of 12,483,699 CFA francs intended to settle the bill for undelivered oil for the benefit of school canteens, notified Denis Zanré. The PDS also presented the main achievements of the special delegation during the 2023 financial year. We can cite, among others, the development work on a pig slaughter area, the rehabilitation of the Dano slaughterhouse, the acquisition of tables and benches for schools, the rehabilitation of boreholes carried out by own resources of the commune of Dano. With the support of mining funds and financial partners and the state, the special delegation carried out several achievements including the drilling in Namorè, the construction of an autonomous water point at the provincial high school of Ioba, the construction of three classrooms in Sorkon, construction of accommodation at the CSPS of Dayèrè. The PDS said it was satisfied with its achievements in 2023 which take into acc ount the security and humanitarian context of Burkina Faso. Depending on budgetary capacities, the special municipal delegation of Dano plans to carry out around twenty activities. In anticipation, there is, among other things, the construction of school latrines at the Moutori school, the rehabilitation of the Batiara school, and the construction of an autonomous water point at the urban medical center (CMU) of Dano. During the year 2023, eighteen deliberations were taken to guide the actions of the special delegation. Seventeen have been executed and only one is being executed, Mr. Zanré said. For the PDS, the conduct of current affairs has gone well, but difficulties remain. According to him, the main ones are the problem of mobilizing land to accommodate public infrastructure, the low mobilization of financial resources for investment, the tax non-compliance of certain taxpayers and land conflicts. Frameworks for reflection must be created within the commissions to resolve these difficulties, underl ined the PDS.
