The Muslim community of Pô organized on March 23, 2023 a day of prayers and blessings for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the VDP Defense Volunteers engaged at the front as part of the fight against terrorism.
“There are fighting forces on the ground. We will have to pray at every moment and invoke the Almighty so that not a drop of their blood will flow again,” said the spokesperson for the Muslim community in Nahouri province, Moussa Yaguibou.
In view of the deleterious security situation, Moussa Yaguibou recommended that the sons and daughters commit themselves more to the fight against terrorism.
“We ask each Muslim community in other municipalities to organize prayer and blessing sessions for the benefit of female combatants on the ground,” he added.
The representative of the High Commissioner, the Secretary General of the province of Nahouri, Sanfiénalé Joseph Sirima welcomed the initiative of the Muslim community of Po.
He invited religious leaders to preach and educate the faithful so that everyone cultivates living together, love of neighbor.
“It is at this price that Burkina Faso will win the war that has been imposed on it,” he noted.
Mr. Sirima also wished a good month of Lent to all the Muslims of Nahouri.
The day of prayer and blessings was organized by the Muslim community of Pô, which aims to support the efforts of the Transition, the defense and security forces, the volunteers for the defense of the homeland engaged in the theater of operations. .
