Piéla/OSCEP 2024: Piéla E School wins the football trophy

The sports and cultural season of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Piéla closed its doors this Saturday, April 27, 2024 with the football final between the team of Piéla E school to that of the private primary school EE/SIM HAMBILI beaten by 2 goals to 1. The Piéla basic education district closed its sporting and cultural activities for the 2023-2024 season with the football final, played on Saturday April 27, 2024 on the field of the EE/SIM HAMBILI private primary school. Of the 14 teams entered in this edition, it was the teams from the Piéla E school and that of the EE/SIM HAMBILI private primary school which found themselves in the final. Throughout the match, the two teams dominated each other in a spirit of fair play. Finally the advantage of the match turned in favor of Piéla E, 2 against 1 to the detriment of Piéla EE/SIM HAMBILI. The victorious Piéla E team receives a set of jerseys, a ball, the trophy, special prizes and a sum of 60,000 francs and the private primary school EE SIM HAMBILI in 2nd place leaves with 30,000 francs, a set of jerseys, a balloon and special prizes. Prizes were also awarded to the best competitors in long jump, traditional dance, playback, theater, recital and singing. Despite the difficult security context, the coordinator of the NGO CUO-FI, Aimé César Béogo, official sponsor of the organization since 2009, reaffirmed his commitment to always supporting schools in their sporting and cultural activities. Placed under the chairmanship of the regional director of primary and non-formal preschool education in the East, Y David Thiombiano, the sponsorship of Maître Guitanga Samuel, the co-sponsorship of Oumarou Damiba, CEO of Yentella SARL and Larba Lankoandé, manager of the General Insurance of the Eastern and Central-Eastern regions, the present edition of the OSCEP of the CEB of Piéla had the theme 'sport and culture, factor of resilience in primary school in a process of reconquest of national territory. The edition had as guest of honor the elected consular Dayeri Gui tanga. It was the Cuo-fi association of Piéla which sponsored the event. The head of the Piéla Basic Education District, Inspector Sylvain Thiombiano, was delighted with the smooth running of the competition and especially the support for the population. This was the place for him to express his gratitude to all the players who showed resilience in bringing the season to a successful conclusion despite the context. The representative of the Sponsor, LANKOANDE Marie/DINYERI said she was satisfied with the organization of such an event which she described as beneficial for the children.
