The health council of the Ouargaye health district is pleased with its half-yearly report

The first session of the Ouargaye health district health council, which took place on Friday August 10, 2023 in Tenkodogo, focused on the results of the chemo-prevention campaigns for seasonal malaria and mass treatment against lymphatic filariasis.

This session was chaired by the High Commissioner of the province of Koulpelogo Ousmane Ouattara, President of the said Council.

On the occasion, the health district officials reported to the provincial authorities on the management of the entity during the past six months.

Ousmane Ouattara thanked all the participants for their presence despite the difficult travel conditions.

He praised from the outset, the resilience of all health workers who spare no effort to meet the supply of health care.

Three communications were made.

These communications show good coverage of seasonal malaria chemo-prevention campaigns (95.95%) and the mass treatment campaign against lymphatic filariasis with 74.18% coverage rate.

The main difficulties encountered during these campaigns are inherent to the security context.

Nevertheless, this result is very encouraging, rejoiced the participants.

The state of implementation of the district's emergency micro-plan drawn up in response to the humanitarian crisis was also discussed.

It appears that more than half of the activities of the said plan remain unfunded to date.

Ousmane Ouattara took the opportunity to thank all the technical and financial partners who support the district.

He also launched a call for mobilization for funding of all the activities of the emergency microplan, to the delight of the populations of Koulpelogo.
